Not all constant tension clamps are the same — and Tridon's three-format platform recognises that different sealing challenges demand different engineering responses. The bead-lined constant tension format is built for hose assemblies where surface protection is as critical as sealing force — its floating bead liner eliminates perforation bite and extrusion on silicone and soft hose materials while the active tension mechanism compensates continuously for thermal movement. The contoured band variant takes a different approach — its band geometry conforms to hose surfaces that aren't perfectly round under operating pressure, maintaining consistent circumferential contact on reinforced and high-pressure hose types where a flat band would lose sealing efficiency at the peaks and troughs. The heavy-gauge spring format addresses the most demanding end of the spectrum with heavier Belleville springs that deliver a higher rate of tension adjustment, making it the format of choice for heavy-duty diesel and commercial engine connections where cold flow, extreme thermal cycling, and sustained vibration combine to defeat lighter constant tension designs. All three are produced in corrosion-resistant stainless steel for long-term reliability in chemically and thermally aggressive under-bonnet and industrial process environments.
