HCL Smart® Band (Banding & Buckles)

Metal banding corrodes, conducts, and adds weight — three problems that HCL's Smart Band and Smart Tie polymer banding systems eliminate entirely. Manufactured by HCL from advanced engineering polymers including PA66, PA12, PPS, and Acetal, these systems are non-conductive, non-corrosive, non-magnetic, and UV-resistant — making them the specification choice wherever stainless steel banding is unsuitable or prohibited. The Smart Band is a cut-to-length band-and-buckle system, available in 10mm, 19mm, and 32mm widths, with the buckle integrated into the strap head for tool-assisted or hand-tightened installation without separate metal components. The Smart Tie — a patented cable tie format capable of withstanding system loads in excess of 1,200kgf — is the world's strongest polymer cable tie, widely deployed for downhole and offshore cable management. For the most extreme subsea environments, the Smart Band Compact delivers 30+ year proven service life in VIV strake and deepwater applications. All systems are supported by a matched range of torque-controlled installation tools for safe, consistent tensioning in any environment.
